Re: my SH3D project
hello,

the ceiling lighting is obtained thanks to one centimeter boxes protruding from the ceiling. Then just add a light above the boxes.
Excuse my English, it's google translation.

Re: my SH3D project
Models can be found at https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/?redirect=1&hl=de

You open these files with Google Sketchup and export them into *.DAE.

Import these *.DAE into SweetHome3D

Re: my SH3D project
Quite a few 3D warehouse models can be downloaded in .KMZ format (aka Google Earth), these are in fact zipped .DAE files and can be imported directly in SH3D (latest versions). Which saves you the bother of using Sketchup to convert.

To add ceiling lights, the easiest is just to place (carefully) light-sources from the catalogue near/over/under the model (.DAE/.OBJ will not include light-source properties). You can add light-source properties to your models in a SH3D FurnitureLibraryEditor file - see for instance thread 5206.

ok

PS Unless you prefer the language of Goethe, you may want to skip the language option in the above URL, by just using https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/ - or to change the language to Shakespeare: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/?hl=en
