"Can't open home" (Windows 7) Hello, first of all thanks a lot for this great and powerful program! I have a problem, opening saved files on a PC running Windows 7. If the "*.sh3d" contains only walls and rooms, there is no problem. If it contains windows or doors, the file can't be opened. The error message says "Can't open home 'test.sh3d'"/ "Konnte Wohnung 'test.sh3d' nicht öffen". On a PC running Windows XP, exactly the same file can be opened without any problems. Can you help me to solve this bug? |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) How many times did you try? Does it really happen as soon as you add a piece of furniture, a door or a window to your plan? Does it happen also if there's just one piece? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) I tried it several times and on different PCs. (Another PC running Windows 7 created the same problem.) At first I saved a plan containing only walls, closed the program and opened the file again. As soon as I add to this same plan or a door or a window or a piece of furniture, I can't open this file again. There is no difference, if there are more pieces or only one. |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) I never heard about such an issue. Really strange. Could you send me that file please? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) Thanks for the test files you sent me. I had no problem to open them under Mac OS X and Windows 7. You should know that SH3D files are zip files, and wonder if it's possible that some antivirus software or a zip utility could interfere with Sweet Home 3D, even if I never heard about such a problem. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) Deinstalling 7Zip, installing WinRAR, deactivating Avira AntiVir doesn't change anything... I'll use the other computer! Thank you nevertheless! |

Re: "Can't open home" (Windows 7) Hello. I have same problem on two computers with windows 7 prof x64. The file can't be opened. The error message says "Can't open home 'test.sh3d'". The file was created on this computer. On a PC running Windows 2003, the same file can be opened without any problems. P.S If the "*.sh3d" contains only walls and rooms, there is no problem. If I add a piece of furniture, a door or a window - the file can't be opened. |
