Nonrectangular doorshapes
I wanted to know how I can create a doorshape which is not rectangular. I used the search feature on the forum and came only up with this thread http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,3158#14210. Unfortunately it's not really answered, because the only answer referes to a french thread which I don't understand.

I wanted to create a hole similar to what is asked in the above thread, but without the door, only the hole in the wall itself.

Re: Nonrectangular doorshapes
And the French answer points to this message written... in English. wink

Re: Nonrectangular doorshapes
Thanks! I already solved the problem, by creating my own arched doorframe in Blender, using the rectangular doorframe as a template.

Should I submit this doorframe to be included? Seems to be usefull for others as well.

Feel free to do it, even if there are some chances that the next version will be able to manage non rectangular doors and windows (not sure yet).

Re: Nonrectangular doorshapes
Is there some site collecting user created objects where one can submit this to?

Re: Nonrectangular doorshapes
Yes, here as mentioned in the Create your 3D models section of the Import 3D models page.

Re: Nonrectangular doorshapes
I guess this discussion continues here at SF Arched doorframe
where a similar model appeared.
