Issue trying to Import 3D Models libariesHi I've tried different ways of importing the SweetHome3D-models zip files but each time it takes me to the sourceforge site and asks me to register with them... I have done this and still not able to download the zips files for import. I have downloaded Sweethome on my desktop and appears to be working great apart from getting the extra models. When i use the online version of SweetHome i see additional models which I am trying to obtain... Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong please... Regards Samuilui |

Re: Issue trying to Import 3D Models libaries You don't have to register to be able to download files from sourceforge.net. What makes you think you're obliged to? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Issue trying to Import 3D Models libaries Thxs for quick reply Emmanuel, but Im not too concerned that I had to register with sourceforge the issue is that I cannot seem to download the zip files mentioned eg 3DModels-Contributions-1.3.1.zip 3DModels-Scopia-1.3.1.zip 3DModels-Trees-1.3.1.zip When I click on those it just doesn't download. Im using firefox which shouldn't be an issue.. I've tried different times from different links within the user documentation and download sections of the sweethome site as well... Surely Im not making this too difficult or I am just missing something very basic... Again appreciate yr help on this Regards |

Re: Issue trying to Import 3D Models libaries When you click on the library links in 3D models page, this should display a SourceForge.net page with a header that looks like this: ![]() Did you try to click on the direct link or the mirror link? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Issue trying to Import 3D Models libaries The screen you pasted below is exactly where I was being redirected to each time I tried to download. I tried both at different times and would timeout and return error page. Yesterday I tried again and strangely enough it actually downloaded one of the zips I selected. I selected all the rest and they worked as well. So looks like there was some server issue on the other side preventing downloads. Now I have followed the instructions in the user guide to import the downloaded libraries and have verified that they are in the eteks plugin foIder as specified. The only thing is I cannot see the models in the any of the sections within the models pane. eg The 7 model tree ( 3DModels-Trees-1.3.1.zip ) ? ...I have restarted the application after the imports as well and still I cannot see them. Readme.txt says that the plugin folder is as follows C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture, My actual location after installation of sweethome 3D is C:\Users\Lou_ADMIN\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D\furniture What am I missing here please.. . ?? Re: Issue trying to Import 3D Models libaries Cannot remember exactly how SH3d does this off hand (whether it reads files with zip extensions), but did you unzip the files? If all else fails: take your downloaded files, unzip them (right click - extract) - you should get a sh3f file. Now, open SH3d and select Furniture > Import Furniture Library and select the file you have extracted. After a bit, you should see the library items amongst the furniture items. ok PS - this operation will place the library in the directory SH3d uses (Windows: users\user\AppData etc etc etc). And then the library will be read every time you start SH3d. |
