Bug: CSV export Indeed the CSV Export (CSV: Comma separated value) is an TSV Export (Tabulator separated value). But when I choose tsv as file extension than following name is used: name.tsv.csv ... I prefer TSV (no issues when using Excel and ",", ";" etc. in text columns). Would be nice to see TSV and CSV format so that the user has the option to choose what format to use. |

Re: Bug: CSV export Isn't CSV a generic term for all "tabular text files", regardless of which delimiter is used? See Wikipedia on CSV: ".. comma-separated values (CSV) (also sometimes called character-separated values, because the separator character does not have to be a comma) ...". My PC equipped with latest Excel and OO does not seem to recognise .tsv extensions (unless so assigned manually). And when opening/importing, it seems to be very much software and version dependent whether tsv/csv is handled correctly (different versions of Excel are also 'confused'). However, isn't by far the easiest way of getting your list into a spreadsheet just to Copy (selected items on) a list and Paste into the spreadsheet (or whatever)? For users who insist on using csv files, they could simply rename the file... ok |

Re: Bug: CSV export Is there a way to get the "description" into the CVS/TSV export? |
