SH3D Not Recognizing DAE files I've downloaded the model in the link below, opened it in SketchUp and exported it as a DAE file. When I open the Import Furniture window in SH3D, click Choose Model and find the file, the model's file (which clearly has the ".dae" extension) is grayed out as if SH3D is seeing it as an unsupported filetype. I've checked the "two-sided" box in options and tried copy and pasting the model into a new SketchUp window and exporting it from there and still haven't had any luck. This is the first time I've used SH3D in about a year so maybe I just forgot a step; however, I never experienced this problem in the past. Re: SH3D Not Recognizing DAE files Sweet Home 3D only checks supported extensions and doesn't analyze the content of files to make them selectable or not in its file chooser. Maybe you use the Mac App Store version of Sweet Home 3D which is able to import only zipped files because of the sandbox security imposed by Apple. If it's the case, just zip the .dae file (with its textures if there are any) to import your 3D model. In case you didn't know, Mac OS X lets you create easily a .zip archive from the files selected in the Finder with the File > Compress menu item. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: SH3D Not Recognizing DAE files Perfect answer. I was previously using the version downloaded off the website and the problem started after I started using the App Store version. Thanks for all the help, definitely wouldn't have figured out it was due to the version I was using. |
