Issue with light dots Hello, first of all I'm new to posting to this forum despite reading a ton of threads over the past year, but I never actually got to actively be involved in posting, helping etc. I'll try to maintain this from now onwards. Secondly, I am rendering using best quality and getting light dots. Why is this happening? I can't seem to find a post with the same problems (can it be the search keywords I'm using??). Any help would be appreciated :) http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=wa680x&s=8#.VG6FWfnF9tU [Note from moderator: updated link to image] |

Re: Issue with light dots I think your image link is broken, probably because the entity instead of just &. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=wa680x&s=8#.VG88B7stD1S If that is the right picture (under a ton of pop-ups ) - it looks like a cousin of the black-dot problem fixed in 4.4. But this is really not for me to say...ok PS the entity I refer is amp (with a & in front and ; after) cannot be written without being auto-converted into &... |

Re: Issue with light dots On my side, I could see your image and the dots you speak about comes from the shininess computation. You can make them less visible by computing an image twice larger then reducing it with an image tool, or by changing to matt the shininess of the furniture on which they appear. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Issue with light dots Hello. Thank you for your suggestions. I will try to render in larger sizes, because you're correct I'm rendering in small sizes (800 x 480). I will also look into the shininess and report back :) |
