MeshLab to convert to SH Ubuntu 12.04 Sweet Home 3D ver. 4.6 Please some one guide me to where are the KMZ files in 3D Warehouse, and Thank you very much, I only find skp. I found MeshLab for Ubuntu it can import COLLADA files and export .obj and .3ds can this application be used to covert to SH?. Thank you |

Re: MeshLab to convert to SH When in the Sketchup Warehouse, click the model you want. In the new page, there is a big red button at top right. When you click it, or hover over it, several formats are offered for download. Choose KMZ format there, download and import it in SH3D. Re: MeshLab to convert to SH .obj and .3ds Both formats .obj and .3ds are supported by SH3D, just drag-and-drop, also if zipped. As hansmex writes, there is (usually) a .kmz (or .dae) alternative to the .skp download. .kmz is a zipped file that will have to contain a .dae file to work, which it does in the 3D warehouse alternative downloads.ok PS For the record, .kmz files can also contain other kinds of files, like .kml, used in Google Earth, see google documentation. Not that it matters, but for the fact that not every .kmz file contains a lovely model... |
