How do I install a '.tgz' fileFirst off, what a fantastic program. I'm running version 4.3 under Kubuntu 14.04 (Linux). It is the version that is available in Muon Package Manager. I am having a problem installing version 4.6, as it is in '.tgz' format. I have never figured how to manually install programs unless they are in '.deb. format - Which basically installs itself, all you do is open it and it self installs. How do I install a '.tgz' file? ---------------------------------------- ![]() ![]() |

Re: How do I install a '.tgz' file A tgz file is just a compressed folder. Don't you have an Extract item in the contextual menu of the file, like under Ubuntu? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: How do I install a '.tgz' file As suggested in the download page, run the SweetHome3D command it contains, eventually using this tip to launch it with a double click. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
