How to change the scale of a printed plan? Hello, I've been using Sweet Home 3D with no problems for months now printing plans at the same scale as the background plan (1:50). Now I need to detail up some parts of a plan and have changed the scale to 1:20 in page setup, but the plan that prints is not 1:20 or even close (it's something like 1:32!). What am I doing wrong? Re: How to change the scale of a printed plan? Did you actually checked on a printed page that 1/50 scale was correct? Is the width of the plan printed with a 1/20 scale really less than twice larger compared to the width of the plan printed with a 1/50 scale? ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: How to change the scale of a printed plan? Hi Emmanuel and thanks for the reply. I was a town planner for years so I understand scales At 1:50 it prints to the right size. I changed the scale in page setup to 1:20 but the printed page is not 1:20. Any ideas? Bob |

Re: How to change the scale of a printed plan? Hi Emmanuel, I've worked out what the problem is!! I have 2 printers, one A4, one A3. I set the paper size originally at A3 but when I changed printer I forgot to change the paper size to A3 in Page setup > Page format!! Hence it was scaling down from A3 to A4 by that weird amount. This is only a trap for someone with 2 printers, probably a minority :-) Thanks for an excellent programme!! Bob |
