Use exact 'plan' background in '3D view' mode
Awesome software!

I imported a land survey as the background image in planning mode to aid in drawing the house and everything came together very smoothly.

I'd like to use the same image in 3D view for the ground, is this possible?

I've experimented with the ground texture option using the image..but can't seem to get it to line up by adjusting the width and height values in the texture modification wizard....it's a huge (5000px) image.

Not sure if this image will be helpful..or clear.

Thank you!

Ground/Floor with textures align/scale like explained in thread 5533.

But with the help of a textured square/box with your survey map, yes, see the blog post How to print a grid in the plan or display it in 3D. Editing, cropping/scaling the image down to reasonable size is a good idea anyway, though.

ok

Does the land survey really say 56°14'37" South? If so you, that is a latitude you want to check and find another value for your Compass settings smile
