How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D? Hello, since Debian still ships sweethome 4.5, I downloaded version 5.2 myself and unpacked it to Sweethome tells me at startup that new versions of the 3D models are available (version 1.6). It seems it does not find the versions I downloaded. In the Settings I did not find a configuration for the 3D model search path. Can anybody tell how to tell sweethome3D in which paths the libraries are located? Thanks Rainer |

Re: How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D? - Make hidden directories visible with CTRL-H - Goto subdirectory .eteks - Goto subdirectory sweethome - There you will find subdirectories for plug-ins, textures and furniture - Copy the library or plug-in to the correct directory - That's all ---------------------------------------- Hans new website - under constuction hansdirkse.info |

Re: How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D? As indicated at the end of Importing 3D models section in the user's guide, you can also get the libraries folder when you click on any SH3F file listed in the Furniture libraries section of the Libraries in use pane. The latter pane is displayed by clicking on the Libraries... button shown at the bottom of Sweet Home 3D About dialog box. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D? Thanks for your replies and many thanks for the explanation with the .etreks directory (I looked for .sweethome3d before). I assume sweethome3D never writes into the furniture sh3f files, i.e. symlinks would also work. Rainer |
