Solar house Hi, here are pictures of a next project... Solar panels for electricity and warm water... Rainwater harvesting... Re: Solar house Thanks. Here is the kitchen from living. You can see that the kitchen can be opened or closed with sliding doors... According to the plan, the door is in left corner and the fridge is in right corner. Re: Solar house Another good looking project bdfd, nice one too, close to your heart i imagine being with solar panels and rain collection. if i may ask, when you create your own furniture, do you create the door handles or get them from a site? |

Re: Solar house Hi bdfh, very nice. I'm also planning for a 'passive' house. I like your sliding doors. Care to share the object? |

Re: Solar house Hi, Thank you friends. I did not invent the 'hot water'... @ mirakels, here is the 'user manual' : 1. You choose your wall to place the opening. 2. You just place a door frame in the wall. 3. You set the glass door half open (or closed) in grey. 4. You reduce the depth (thickness) of this glass door in white and voila ! ![]() @miker777 : I used only free objects in zipped files on SH3D website. - NICE 07/14/2016 (over 80 dead) : All against barbarism ![]() ---------------------------------------- Evil progresses when good people do nothing! --- SH3D 7.1 and nothing else - W11 64b in 4K |

Re: Solar house Cool bdfd! Great trick. It looked so good I thought you had a separate model! Thanks. About the heat pump. I try to create a house that has very small energy needs for heating. Vertical geothermal will probably not be cost effective anymore. So I am thinking about an air/water heat pump. Winters in the Netherlands are getting warmer and warmer anyway ![]() |

Re: Solar house Cool bdfd! Vertical geothermal will probably not be cost effective anymore. Winters in the Netherlands are getting warmer and warmer anyway -> Thanks. -> This part of project costs 20,000.00 euros !!! (The depth is 30 meters...) -> It's the same thing in North of France... Re: Solar house Nice little project bdfd. Solar power in the US is still a bit too expensive initially for the average home owner so it's not taking off like it should here. ---------------------------------------- Hawk |

Re: Solar house Thanks. ![]() In France, 13 panels give 3000 WhC (maximum limit for a particular). In 2010, a solar installation cost 17,000.00 euros (~15,500.00 dollars US). In 2016, the same panels cost 11,000.00 euros. 2 ways for these solar panels : 1. You produce yourself your electricity or 2. You produce electricity for an electric compagny which give 2,000.00 euros per year on average. ![]() ---------------------------------------- Evil progresses when good people do nothing! --- SH3D 7.1 and nothing else - W11 64b in 4K |

Re: Solar house See together how to give good air in a house with low costs ? In South of France, its exists a technical thing calling 'puit provençal' Ventilation system can be connected at solar panels... ![]() ---------------------------------------- Evil progresses when good people do nothing! --- SH3D 7.1 and nothing else - W11 64b in 4K |

Re: Solar house Looks to me like the "new air in" would be a good place for a neighbour to place a smoking shelter. . Thankyou for the reply regarding the handles , i ask as i am struggling to find handles and soft furnishings, duvets just do not look right made of box's and triangles. ![]() |

Re: Solar house In France, 13 panels give 3000 WhC (maximum limit for a particular). Ah yes, there are some interesting calculations here - see also thread 5826. If I have understood this correctly, sun yields 1 kW/m² at earth surface at 90° angle. Whether you are in France or in Lapland makes little difference but for the number of sun hours (deduct for limitated sun exposure, such as bad weather). While thermal sun collectors can 'catch' up to 75% of this, photovoltaic (i.e. electricity panels) will give 15-20%. What is interesting about this is that even in a very cold climate far North, you can still get good results from harvesting sun energy. In 2010, a solar installation cost 17,000.00 euros (~15,500.00 dollars US). In 2016, the same panels cost 11,000.00 euros. And bdfd is right in saying that a combination of sun energy and 'puit provençal' (ground-coupled heat exchanger) has a very high potential for providing low-cost energy - even if there may not be a constant ground temperature of 14° in harsher climates, the temperature is still relatively constant and in a (pleasant) mid-range between cold winters and cold summers. Add to this the renewable energy source found in firewood (for those dark winter nights), and the maths become even more interesting. Environmentally no doubt, but also economically. ok |

Re: Solar house After publishing the image above, I found in a small inconsistency. It has been corrected in the following .............. the steering-wheel of the red SUV has resumed its good position (not English) !!! => a simple horizontal flip ! This version adds the rails and the motor of the garage door (open and closed). ---------------------------------------- Evil progresses when good people do nothing! --- SH3D 7.1 and nothing else - W11 64b in 4K |
