Video generation Provided that I’m enthusiastic of the tool that I think is unique in terms of simplicity and functionalities, I have a question about video creation. The feature, although complete, is quite basic and apparently doesn’t allow to review the full list of points. We can only delete or change the last one. This is quite annoying if you have a long sequence of points and you want to have a good quality video, without gaps or sudden changes in views. The best solution would be to have the possibility of changing all points and replay the sequence as many times as needed to reach the desired result, maybe at low quality to speed up the process, and then to have the final video generation at the best quality. I noticed that the sequence is maintained after the file closure, meaning that is stored somewhere in the file. Is it possible to change, extend or reduce this sequence, which should be just a table with few fields (x, y, height, and the three angles)? |

Re: Video generation From version 5.3 (beta available here), you'll be able to modify a .sh3d file more easily because this zip file contains a new entry Home.xml entry that can be edited with a simple text editor. If you look into this Home.xml file, you'll see that that camera positions of the video are stored in a list of <observerCamera> tags (or <camera> for aerial view positions) with an attribute equal to cameraPath, as in the following example: <observerCamera attribute='cameraPath' lens='PINHOLE' x='50.0' y='50.0' z='170.0' yaw='5.4977875' pitch='0.19634955' fieldOfView='1.0995575' time='1477915200028'/>Feel free to edit these lines or even add some new ones. x, y and z attributes are in centimeters, yaw, pitch and fieldOfView attributes are in radians and time in milliseconds since the Epoch (1st of January 1970 UTC). See SweetHome3D.dtd for more information. Of course, be sure to backup your .sh3d file before trying this kind of changes. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |

Re: Video generation Emmanuel, where can I find a documentation about the sh3d file structure? I can find the directories with the furnitures but I can't understand the other files. I tried to open Sweethome3d.dtd but with no success (blank page) Thanks Francesco |

Re: Video generation SweetHome3D.dtd is not blank, it's a DTD, so just download it and open it in a text editor. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
