Newbe 1st post - Already RTFM. Problems with "pan" navagation
Enjoying my first steps in design with this software..
Read the manual, saw details on use of W,A,S,D,arrow keys,
shift.

'BUT', what I find most difficult is "panning" left to right,
and elevating, & delevating.

In other 3d editors, shift is elevate,
and "Z" delevate.
Panning is normally A & D.

Am I missing something ?
The only way i can move in these axis, is by slow & awkward zooming
and unzooming .

Please advise. this is so frustrating.
Thanks.

So you want to crouch, jump and strafe?

In other 3d editors [...]
There's no absolute rule about key management and it depends on software. Please read the help about editing the 3D view where keys used for navigation in the 3D view are explained.

From what I understand you are looking for;
In Virtual Visitor mode,
Alt+Left & Alt+Right give you sidestep movement
Home & End give you viewpoint elevation control
