Art school
Dear users....it's a big pleasure for me to be back with my new project and renderings. But this time it's not a private house or big palace....this time I came with a common project for future artists especially dancers singers and actors I named ART SCHOOL ... I create a little complex of buildings where is everything what students and teachers needs for their necessaries. As you can see on the first plan, the complex divides into three basic buildings. The first is central 3 floors building with classrooms, combination room, little dining hall, small aula with terrace for internal singer concerts etc. ....
The second part is a little theater studio for school performances.
And the third is little ballroom for dancers.
As you can see on the plan the wide of this small complex is 38 meters and the depth is 32 meters...

And here I came with some first renderings of the southern parts of complex. The first one is the view of the central building with an external costate skeleton

The second is the southern view of the ballroom with modified skeleton what made an interesting shape of that building

And the last one here of this first part is the cascade fountain with some trees of the park for better feeling not only inside the school but everywhere in schoolarea.

Re: Art school
I was wondering: It is a long time we didn't see MartinSK works!... Now, I can understand: Amazing! Congratulations.
Will this place become real one day?

I hope it will....but somewhere on Mars I'm afraid....Here the new pictures of the southern entrance street

and the second one from the northern part of area....the view on the northern park across the theater studio.....

Re: Art school
Thank you @VeroniQ thank you @bdfd....
I have more free time now....so I came back for some creations. I have to say that sometimes I open forum and watch some new projects but have not much time for comments. I am so sorry. But I don't ignore. wink
@Cec I hope I will create some interior too.... We will see what will happen... confused
Now I have a lot of new exterior pictures for you.... First is the 'drone made' picture of the complex....

Next you can see some artistic version of this picture...Something like an architectural design /may be/ laughing

And the third of this serie is an add of this project.... Something for developers.

But caaame back from the air..... I have some last exterior pictures for you... Here we can see the northern side of school and the theater studio in the morning summer sun. Here is the best view of typical external skeleton-the main characteristic of this building.

And the last one is my favorite view of the ballroom. As you can see...there is an external skeleton again and have the same profile like the other parts but is not used like serie of thin ribs. I used it like one massive A-shape block.

hope you ejoy...I have nothing better for you now.

Re: Art school
HI @bdfd....
So....the size of the project is 190 MB now.
Parameters for day exterior rendering without lights are:
global illumination:path
diffused bounces:1
caustics:0
sShader:silk
lens focus distance:500
lens radius:0,5
sampler algorithm:IPR
lens:depth of field
sky brithness:8
size of picture:10000x5625px /then reduced to 2000x1125px/
time rendering: app. 2-4 hours

made by ASUS ROG with intel core i7 6700HQ /4 cores,8 threads/ .../and NVIDIA GEFORCE 980M/

I open sh3d to create projects only with NVIDIA....and rendering with CPU intel i7 for sure...I am so sad that there is not possible to use any GPU render for sh3d......but I know it's complicated

Re: Art school
Hi there.... I am back here to show some new pictures.... I love the @enkonyito's plugins for rendering. I think he made great job for sh3d. But now I try to do it new way. I bought a license of renderer named Thea render which is able to combine CPU and GPU engines and have plenty options to create great pictures. I try to combine sh3d modeling and Thea rendering now. And here are my first results. I remodeled the Art school project a little in sh3d...Then I use some new tree models and textures of Thea and tried to find the best look for my pictures.
The only one postproduction effect I use was "lens flare" effect of PICSART in some pictures. You can compare to my previous....

A very interesting project, Martin, and some outstanding renderings as well!

Could you tell us (me) a bit more about Thea?

Which version of Thea did you buy?
How do you export a SH3D-file to Thea?
Will Thea recognise light sources from SH3D?
How does Thea perform compared to the built-in renderer?

Hi Mr. bdfd!

I revisited the site, but I could not find a chapter that had the answers to my questions.

I think I'll just patiently await Martins response. wink

Re: Art school
You may find some answers about photo-renderings in the interesting interview of Martin in the Sweet Home 3D blog. But bdfd is right, this forum is not exactly the place to talk about Thea.

Hi VeroniQ.

Nice blog! Lot's of interesting stuff in there, but unfortunately nothing that answers my questions to Martin.

But bdfd is right, this forum is not exactly the place to talk about Thea

I see. I didn't know that. I was just thinking that the best way to get his opinion about Tea was to comment his Thea renderings.

Sorry.
Have a nice weekend

Re: Art school
Hi @Xste.
To your asks..
I bought Thea studio....version 1.5.
To exporting projects...due to sh3d is not compatibile to Thea in direct way,you have to export your sh3d project to OBJ format and this OBJ format import to Thea. Thea accept all the sh3d textures but there is plenty options how to enhance quality of these textures or you can use materials made by Thea.
Thea don't accept the light sources of sh3d so you have to create it again. But it is very very easy in Thea because you can create not only lights but materials emiting light too. And it's quite simple.
And to working Thea. Sooo... there are more rendering engines you can use. And plenty settings you can choose. The main difference is that in sh3d renderer you can use only basic CPU graphic while Thea use both CPU ang GPU what means that Thea is much faster. Also you can use not only graphic power of your comp but you can combine it with the net server, what means that the rendering runs even faster....
But I am working with Thea very short time so I am still only the beginner and still don't know all the advantages of it.

Ha-ha-haaa...
Okay, sorry for breaking protocol and asking questions in the wrong forum, but I promise it won't be the last time. smile
So here goes: Does Thea make video?

BTW: Your Art School project is really something!

Re: Art school
Hi @Xiste...
I hope we didn't break protocol... We are talking about combination of sh3d and Thea... And if will be something wrong here...there is an administrator to make corrections.
And yes...Thea make video too...but I didn't try

Re: Art school
MartinSK, Xiste, you didn't break any protocol. I don't mind we speak in this forum about other competing solutions, moreover if they are part of a workflow where Sweet Home 3D is involved. Don't worry, it's easy to guess which posts are direct advertisings, then remove them if needed.
By the way, very nice images! smile

Maybe I am repeating myself, yes I think it is, but I love your design! This art school is amazing! I can not believe that the renderings are done using sh3d :D.
Can you tell me how did you create the poster image, this one?

I love it! :)

Re: Art school
Hi @AdeleAlli.... the first renderings of this project were made by sh3d renderer but the next were made by Thea render.... That was the reason why I stopped posting my projects here on forum because some users had a little problem with it. The 'poster' picture were made by PicsArt photoshop in combination with photo editor Polarr /font/. I still produce some projects based on sh3d but I use the Thea render for renderings. But you can see it only on my small personal facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MartinSK.sh3dthea/
Bye Martin
