Can't import .obj model Hello there! I found a problem with import this lovely chair to SH3D. I know that .stl, .wrl and .ply format aren't acceptable and I'm trying to import as .obj version. But when I'm dragging the 3d model in a window, it doesn't loading and "Continue" button is un-clickable. Is it problem with the file or with my program? Any help would be appreciated! |

Re: Can't import .obj model chair-obj.zip drags and drops straight into SH3D when I try. But the import is slow, it is a HUGE model. Compare size with the Free Model armchairs and you will see that the model is 1000 times bigger, of which about half is the texture. Nice, but it comes at a price. ok |

Re: Can't import .obj model By the way, if your really love this chair, and the licence permits (could not be bothered to read the enclosed licence), you should be able to bring it down in size significantly without any noticable quality loss with some Blender magic (thread 8292) and reducing the size of the graphics. Rough guess, < 5% or less of current size. The chair model is nice, but for normal purposes it is way to detailed. ok |

Re: Can't import .obj model Hi, Even having drecreased the texture (4096x4096 to 512x512) the model continues to be heavy (12572 to 11503). . ---------------------------------------- Evil progresses when good people do nothing! --- SH3D 7.1 and nothing else - W11 64b in 4K |
