KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
Hi, just a few images of some kitchen cabinets i have been playing with.

Each consists of a cabinet grouped with doors/drawers who's visibility can be changed.

From this :-

To this :-

( just noticed, i did forget to make the door and handle invisible on the pull out larder)
Finally, a view from the right, of the pull out larder, showing that the 2 baskets can be tilted down and/or removed for ease of filling.

I have no idea how to make them "opening" so this is my alternative. If they can be of use to anyone let me know and i will share the finished file. Don't expect perfection, they just look ok.

Nice models Mike smile
If you share them, I could update the 3D models to make them opening. This could help you to understand how to design such models.

Thank you both for the comments, not sure about me modifying them in future, but you never know. Here is a link to the sh3d file, if you can figure something out then great, if not don't worry. Each door and drawer does have an element called hinge, no idea if that will help or hinder.

UbuntuBirdy if you have any imagination m8, there is a fridge freezer in the large cabinet wink

Ah, ok, I can imagine where it is. My favorite fridge freezers are the full height ones. So I was looking for one of this and have totally overseen your solution. wink

How about something like this :-

Link here if it's any good to you, or anyone else, no interior with it, maybe later.

Wow Mike, this kitchen furniture is very cool, maybe for my next kitchen project I will try to use them :).

Thank you AdeleAlli, i look forward to seeing them tried, might be worth waiting in case Emmanuel is able to sort out my mess and convert 1 or 2 to "opening"

In the mean time this is what i tried to explain about the pull out larder, easier to view an image.

Sliding plastic drawers and lowerable, removable baskets.

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
I decided i would have a do at the interior of the freezer cabinet, realised straight away that it was too narrow to have the pull out "chilled" section and upright fridge/freezer, so it is in affect all new (ish), This is what i have so far :-

The plastic bins in the freezer section and the door shelves are(were) walls and floors, the supports for slides are shapes, 40mm walls provide depth for insulation with 35 on the freezer door and 20 on the fridge door.
The wire mesh shelves will probably be changed for glass and i am not sure about the light source, not convinced this on turns off.

THX Pascal, always good to hear when all that effort i used moving this mouse around is appreciated, hope to see them used soon, smile
The project of designing them is nearly done but i have no plan to use them in a house design, i may however do a kitchen layout with a few of Emmanuel's mannequins toiling away.

Added a single oven cabinet with space for a microwave.
Top cabinet door can be visible as either open or closed and the 3 drawers can each be moved on x or y axis to be shown as open.

It can be downloaded here

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
Hi Mike,

End the exposing model, go to a beautiful kitchen in real room. applause

Some remarks to be perfect :
1. The long cabinet at left side of the fridge seems strange, same height would be better.
2. What is the machine in the central cabinet ?
3. You should be added a faucet for the sink (E.G. below)

The lighted double oven is stunning. love struck
I like the rounded cabinets. kiss

Great Week-end for the kitcheners.
Regards.

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
Hi bdfd
thx for the comments, anything constructive is, as always, helpful.

1 The mid height cabinet is a one off, pull out cabinet, i had thought if it were too big it would be too heavy to pull and a risk tipping
2 It is a cold water dispenser which is actually part of the fridge freezer.
3 There is no faucet as there is no sink biggrin

thx again.

2. TY

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
Hi bdfd
Again appreciate the feedback.
1 Yes a small overhead cabinet would be good
3 The idea was that people could position any sink/tap combination they have or can get, this would personalise the unit and give each kitchen, should anyone choose to use it , a uniqueness.

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
Took this arrangement a little further and organised quite a large kitchen using most of the units.

Hope you like them, if anyone has any suggestions or comments please share them.
May have to build a house for it now.

Hi Mike,
this kitchen is lovable, how did you made the upper part of the cabinets? The part that is stepped.

Re: KItchen cabinets without the latest wizardry.
@ veroniQ there is room for stools just not included any.
@ Adele i drew walls around the cabinets, created a room in them, deleted the walls, exported the room, after unchecking ceiling and display area, then copied it, added 20 mm to the width and length, 4 times, then stacked them up then used the alignment tool on 2 edges to position them. Could have just used walls, adjusting the wall thickness for each layer, but that would mean 4 exports.

Bdfd, the Terms of use of Trimble 3D Warehouse don’t let people redistribute their models, or distribute a design derived from them. So, you can include Trimble Warehouse 3D models in a SH3D file but not distribute that file (or a part of that file). Showing an image of such a SH3D file shouldn’t be an issue because the 3D information is lost in that case.

By the way, in case some of you wonder how some Reallusion models found on Trimble 3D Warehouse could end up in Sweet Home 3D free models library, it’s because Reallusion granted me the right to distribute these models under CC-BY license too.
