Application does not start in XP I tried to start the application using the link http://sweethome3d.sourceforge.net/SweetHome3D.jnlp. I've got the message "Fail to create reference rasterizer 3D Device. - D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE". Afterwards the application has been closed. Second test: I downloaded the software and installed it - successful. I tried to start it and I got the same message. Is this problem known? Is a workaround available? Same problem as reported (ID 1811441)? if so, then the priority should be changed to a higher one. Operating system: Windows XP 2002 SP2 Computer: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1,8GHz, 1GB RAM regards Karsten [Note: this thread was started on sourceforge.net forums] |

Re: Application does not start in XP Solution found. Hardware acceleration was set too low. With full hardware acceleration it is possible to start this application. howto: Display Poperties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot -> push the slider to right hand side regards Karsten |

Re: Application does not start in XP This is an important issue, that miserably can't be resolved by myself because it's due to Java 3D. Please see : https://java3d.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=526 Once I will be able to detect that Java 3D can't run, I'll display a message with your solution instead of letting Sweet Home 3D crash, but that's the best I'll be able to do. Anyway thank you for the hardware acceleration tip. ---------------------------------------- Emmanuel Puybaret, Sweet Home 3D creator |
