Strange "shadows" in 3D view
Hi all

Maybe this is covered somewhere else already, but I could not find it.

Anyway when in 3D view and at certain side view angles, I get these strange trianggular "shadows" coming out of the floor and going to a wall.

I would upload an image if I could.Instead here is the droppbox link:

Can someone please point me in the right direction? I cannot finish this project without solving this issue first.

Cheers
Fintan

Hi Fintan,
I suppose it's a question of ceiling. Try to remove it and see what's happen. If you need it at some places, create a new room and display only the ceiling.

Re: Strange "shadows" in 3D view
Ceilings cause this problem when not all the walls have the same height.

Possible solutions:
- Try to draw a room by hand using only walls with the same height.
- Split a room in two or more smaller rooms if not all walls have the same height.

Re: Strange "shadows" in 3D view
Thanks Hans. so, in this case I would have to build the terrace as a separate "room" then add it on to the main Rooms?

Re: Strange "shadows" in 3D view
Imagine you have an L-shaped room. One leg has higher walls, and thus a higher ceiling, than the other leg.

By hand draw a room in the first leg, than draw a second room in the other leg
