Re: Flat Is About to Become Reality
I don' think Laufen even makes their own flush plates.
The ones used here are Geberit Bolero plates. Geberit also has the very nice Sigma line, but those come with a hefty price tag.
Laufen products give very good value for the price. They are very common around here but being a Swiss company there ...

Thanks Maz
The toilets are actually Laufen Moderna.
We are not huge fans of bidet seats (my parents have one), but there is an empty conduit should we change our mind in the future.
Best, slimpy

Re: Reality Check
You can't edit the model from within SH3D or the furniture library editor.
You need to open the furniture model (original or exported from SH3D) in a 3d modeling application (Blender, Art of Illusion, etc.). You can then select the objects in question within the model and rename them by applying the ...

Hi AnhĐinh
Sorry for the late reply.
I think the key difference between our lamp models is that I don't rely on the shininess property of the object.
Instead, my lamp makes use of the sweethome3d_window_mirror prefix.
If the name of an object (group) in a model (e.g. the lamp) starts with ...

Re: Questions from a newby
You should start by reading the user's guide .
It gives you step by step instructions on how to setup and design your project. It also covers texturing of walls.
Contrary to Juggernaut's advice there's no need for trial and error when texturing walls. Every wall has a direction, indicated by ...

The lamp doesn't reflect the light sources because they are generally invisible. The only thing you see when placing a light source in your scene is the lighting effect on objects.

It's probably easier to find someone who will convert this model from .max to .3ds or .obj for you - rather than having someone do it from scratch.

Don't worry!
I'm still curious about your project - 2m is a very low ceiling. About the height of a standard door frame.
