Hi Hmerchen,
I used to work on the code used under Solidworks and other solid modelling platforms - I have worked on translation code professionally.
If you simply mean import and export of 2D plans it might not be so difficult especially if you can stick to lines, circles and ellipses but you ...

Re: Bi-fold doors
Just throwing in an observation on the subject of bi-folding doors, I noticed whilst rendering with the doors open that the rendering really slowed down in areas where the rays would be traveling through multiple layers of glass.
I did not see this as a problem more just an interesting observation ...

Re: VR mode for your 3d home
I am updating my position on this after literally hundreds of hours now working on my project ( a real self build ) in SweetHome3d.
I believe that anyone who has a powerful computer to do rendering can have a really good 3D VR experience without any new functionality - all you need is the type of ...

Re: Len Add 360 Panoramic?
Hi,
I believe your wish is already catered for.
I am not sure if this is included in the standard rendering options but certainly if you install the advanced rendering plugin by enkonyito.

Re: Windows 10 update problem?
Hi,
I would like to suggest that it is completely useless in most cases trying to stop Windows10 updates, people who stopped them early enough seem to have managed but of course new updates means more counter measures to circumvent the hacks you have implemented which worked on an earlier enough ...

Re: VR Mode revisited/reconsidered
No problem, I think its important to update our "wish" thoughts as our experiences develop, instead of needing enhancements I now realise that the combination of Sweethome3d and KRPANO gives me everything I needed - I would be interested to see if better goggles would improve quality but thats a ...

VR Mode revisited/reconsidered
Hi
I was last active on this forum maybe 2 months ago at that time I was writing a lot about wishes for VR mode.
I am designing a real house and two chalets, its a big project.
I just wanted to share some thoughts after extensively using a VR panorama style tour using $30 goggles and my wifes ...

Lock on current selection
Hi,
Its been a while since I last posted, I have clocked up hundreds of hours since last posting on design of a house and two guest chalets which is my families project for a small tourist business.
I think the single most useful request for me would be some kind of a lock so that the currently ...

Hi Mike
"Let me know if you have any suggestions"
For me its very nice and has a coastal feel - I imagine it being situated just behind where the dunes start. I lived for five years near to Blockhus in Denmark - really thick belt of sand dunes before the beach with summer houses dotted at regular ...
