Yes I did. I had to edit j3dcore.jar and I was able to successfully render photos with default values. After setting property -Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.PhotoRenderer.highQuality.globalIllumination=path console is flooded with warnings:
LIGHT warn : NaN shading sample!
