You are both right: it is a consequence of the overcompression of the jpg.

Thanks for your comment. Indeed, it is a render made in SweetHome with Yafaray, in maximum quality, which took 30 minutes. The models are from SweetHome, 3D Warehouse and 3DS. The wall tiles are of our own design.
The window has 4 leaves, that's why you can't see the handle
