As for me, I wrote in my message that I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit.
I don't know what kind of Java I have installed, 32 or 64 bit: it's just the IcedTea Java that comes from the repositories. Maybe the screen shot I included in my last message tells you more?

For the rest I'm afraid I can't help you. I'm definitely not a technical person. Whenever I have a problem I have to search the forums myself, or (more often) learn to live with it.
