I would like to add one reason to the comprehensive list of 3D problems in FAQ. It happened to the user of SweetHome3D, who liked simple windows theme with sharp edges.
Basically, by switching from Vista Theme >> to >> Windows Classic Theme we not only change an apperance, but also disable some graphic features and these features impinge on Java 3D.
