You should be able to set the desired paper size with the Page format button displayed in the Page setup dialog. I just tested it and miserably, I'm not sure the paper size is always correctly stored under Windows 7. [:(]
Maybe setting the paper size in Inkscape (used to handled SVG files) would work better.
