It's not the mirror aspect, just tried it. One other possibility occurred, if the door is either at the extreme end of a wall, or if the door is a fraction "inside" another adjoining wall, by mistake, or maybe if the door is the full length of the wall.

I have several of these in my current project: 3ft wide door in a 3ft wide space. I'll zoom in a lot and check the position of the doors.
