Whenever I draw a house, I first make a rough draft, drawing the walls using the mouse.
Then I edit every wall and change the X,Y coordinates to exact figures. This way my walls always connect correctly.
It doesn't matter if walls are thick or thin. If they both end on exactly the same coordinate, the room is considered closed.
