You were very patient, and unfortunately, I don't think the file can be repaired. [:(]

Note that using the GPU would require some big changes in the program and wouldn't probably improve that much the rendering speed if you have a good CPU. Please, see also the FAQ How can I speed up the rendering process in photo and video creation panes?
