You can try this:

ChromeCylinder.zip

This cylinder has a mirror surface, and will produce a mirror effect.
Open the .obj-file in a text editor and search for [font=courier new]usemtl[/font] There you can see what's creating the mirror effect.


Another way is to add a completely black colour and use shininess to create the effect. Works sometimes, depending on your render settings.
