would you have the patience to test the YafaRay Rendering plug-in 1.3 too

Just did. Same problem.
But it works on both Mojave and Catalina systems.

OSX High Sierra 10.13.6
Processor: 2x 3.06 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon.
Memory: 64 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN X 12288 MB
