Thanks YGYL and reddy.shyam for your reports. The video that reddy.shyam sent to me doesn't show any jump of the mouse pointer, and it was rather a story about margin tolerance when you click on objects close to each other.
Yes, my issue was always about mouse offset. Sorry for the confusion. All good from my end as well.
