I have a house with two storeys and I am attempting to enter a staircase to connect the two.

My problem: The objects available do not suit my purpose, that is I can't modify them to fit in to the space between the floors available.

Q1: How can I build a staircase made up of steps which turn approx. 90° two thirds of the way down with a bannister on the left wall going down? The steps are between two walls.

Q2: How can the stair objects available in 3D be adapted to suit the position and the shape of the space available at the ground floor and where the stairs end, at the 1st floor?

I appreciate any pointers.
