Try to use a darker color for the curtain material, or change its transparency setting in the MTL file used with the OBJ file you imported (if it's not the case export it to OBJ format). The transparency factor of a material is set on a line starting by [font=courier new]d[/font] (0 for fully transparent to 1 for opaque).
