It’s a wonderful initiative and a much-needed plugin.
What it promises to do is very tempting.
There’s just one small problem: it doesn’t work (at least on linux).

As it happens, I’m also working on something similar, though much more rudimentary.
Without the source code, I can’t help you at all.
