I select a thing [in this case a door who's dimensions I have adjusted & renamed] click the icon [copy] on the toolbar, [right click & highlight copy, left click it], or ctrl + C

when I go to paste it appears on top of the original [no matter where I try to select]

so my work around becomes modify one paste enough copies to complete the room & place them...

I certainly understand why a personal library of furniture isn't possible
