Should have probably specified I am under Linux. Found out that it is related to Java ("top view" couldn't be clicked).

I had to run the SH3D java launcher, which wasn't booting, and had to run ulimit -n 10000 before SH3D java, following what is suggested in this thread:

Getting back to SH3D after a couple of years, I unbelievably can't do this again. Either the software has changed with the upgrades and can't find "top view" option any more, or I just aged and got dumb
