Solucionado. Ver respuesta en el foro en inglés. Aquí no me hicieron ningún caso.
Lo que hice fue bajar el JAVA para 64bits, y el sweet por java y funciona perfectamente ahora los renders.

I have the NVidia Geforce 560ti with 1,25mb.
In the NVidia control panel I have chosen the maximum performance instead maximum quality and in the 3th level works sometimes but in level 4th never.

Me actualicé de la v3.6 a la 3.7, y mejoré un proyecto que antes renderizaba las fotos en todos los niveles de acabado, pero ahora en el nivel 3 y 4 se para después de llevar parte de la foto hecha.
