Truly brilliant, slimpy. I had to look them over a few times to work out the photo from render. Well done. I understand the point of your SH3D realistic render 'experiment', but also agree with a previous poster ... that it wouldn't take much post-processing in Photoshop to make the two images ...

Okay, yeah! Very cool. I'm guessing you are already aware of the indie TV Series, "Star Trek Continues"? They do a great job. Some of their side-by-side comparisons are uncanny.

The texture used for curtains was in .png with transparency made by a few seconds in Photosop.
