Re: Want to create an arch model

I tried now to do these changes, that you suggested, but whenever I load the model it doesn't create a hole in the wall anymore. Is there something I'm missing?

Length of a wall

<t>It is unclear to me what the exact length of a wall is. I don't have a floor plan, so I go through my home, measuring each wall individually. <br/>
In SweetHome3D when I draw a roomw, the walls are connected to each other. The outer edge of the wall is always a bit longer then the inner edge. So ...

Should I submit this doorframe to be included? Seems to be usefull for others as well.

<t>What interface is used for rendering the 3d window? Is it an OpenGL or a DirectX surface? I took only a cursory glance trough the code at the momend and hoped to find the rendering part easily, but it seems I have to deleve a bit deeper.<br/>

Nonrectangular doorshapes

<r>I wanted to know how I can create a doorshape which is not rectangular. I used the search feature on the forum and came only up with this thread <URL url="http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,3158#14210"><LINK_TEXT text="http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/foru ... 3158#14210 ...
