I notice, that the java 3d viewer ist quite large (about 3 MB). Maybe it's a good idea to try to develop a SWF viewer? I would thing this could be smaller in size.

not layers in a photoshop sense, but "groups" might be the better word. Show and hide groups should be pretty obvious to every user.

I will take a look at the request and thanks for the hint to show/hide furniture...
