Re: Make my own worklamp
Thank you hansmex. It turned out a lot better than what I had expected. I'm new in blender and at first had no idea how to do it.

Re: Make my own worklamp
Wow, absolutely didn't know that, this drove me crazy in a number of situations. I never use the object corner icons nor was I aware I could set the unit to other metrics units. Thank you for your enlightment, Puybaret.

Make my own worklamp
Hi all,
I can hardly believe I'm the first who wants to create his own worklamp but as it seems I'm the first to post it here as I couldn't find a lot of threads about lamps let alone about tiny lamps like the worklamp is supposed to be.
I've made my own IKEA Husvik work lamp (left model). This is ...

Re: adding skirting around rooms
Small skirts can be simulated by using an appropriate wall texture which is the same height as the room (so it wouldn't tile vertically).
I did that for my project, the effect is stunning, turned out a lot better than expected.

Re: time of day in "Create photos at points of view"
The only way you can modify camera positions is by calling them up, making the desired changes and then saving them with the same name. I don't feel limited in any way.
I had a different problem with stored camera positions after moving my appartment to the proper level, I found out that all camera ...

Re: Help!! How can I use textures as stained glass?
I forgot to thank you as well, hansmex, for all your efforts which was unintentional. I will try those settings tomorrow.
The problem as I see it is that in the 3D preview, it looks all fine but in the rendered image, it looks plain wrong. I'm totally aware of the fact that secondary lighting ...

Re: Help!! How can I use textures as stained glass?
okh, thank you for your attention. I have tried both. I did some tests today with the glass textures of your stained glass windows, with unsatisfying result.
I start to wonder wether I'm having a renderer issue (driver?). I'm on a iMac 2011 with ATI Radeon 6970M. This is the result when I tried the ...

Re: Help!! How can I use textures as stained glass?
Thanks for your help. I guess I do know how to make transparent semi-transparent stuff in blender, the problem is that once it is rendered in SH3D, it is no longer semi-transparent.
This is an experiment I did:
left blind: solid, 2nd: alpha 1.0, 3rd: alpha 0.75, 4th: alpha 0.5, 5th: alpha 0.25

Re: Help!! How can I use textures as stained glass?
I have been fiddling with translucency for quite some time but with no success.
Could you please enlighten us how you created this semi-transparent glass?
I have imported your object into blender, discovered that the material is set to Z transparency but the values set make no sense to me. I have ...
