My roof hovers above the building

Hi,

I modeled a building and found that my roof hovers over the building.

I used the slope ceiling guide to draw the roof

http://www.sweethome3d.com/slopingCeilingGuide.pdf

I omitted Steps 4 to 7 on Page 7

4 - While selected, click Tools → Copy as new furniture.
5 - Right-click → Paste to ...

Re: Virtual Reality with Sweethome3d available!

With a Nexus 5x this is really beautiful, also the controls to move around and up and down are much better now (though moving stairs up is not really possible, just vertically up and down).

The only issue I still see is that the entire scene is mirrored (i.e. left and right are interchanged). Do I ...

Re: How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D?

Thanks for your replies and many thanks for the explanation with the .etreks directory (I looked for .sweethome3d before).

I assume sweethome3D never writes into the furniture sh3f files, i.e. symlinks would also work.

How to make 3D Models visible to sweethome3D?

Hello,

since Debian still ships sweethome 4.5, I downloaded version 5.2 myself and unpacked it to

sweethome3D crashes during startup

Hello,

sind a few days SweetHome3D crashes on my Debian Linux 8.1 system. This applies both for version 4.5 which comes with Debian and version 5.0 which was just released. The problematic frame is from the same function for both versions:

rd@blackbox:~/SW.nobackup/SweetHome3D-5.0$ ./SweetHome3D ...

Re: Virtual Reality with Sweethome3d available!

Hi SnakeGB,

that is because of a poor gyro and sensorfusion software in the M8. Try with a Nexus 5 or 6 and you will see a big difference.

Re: Virtual Reality with Sweethome3d available!

Hi,

export to the OBJ format from sweethome3d and import that to obj2vr as descripbed on the website.

Make sure to copy all files created during the export to the phone.

Re: 3D Artefact

I saw a relation to the roof: making it invisible: issue is gone, making it visible again, issue is there again.

Note, the roof has an invisible part, see post from Apr 29, 2015 6:00:42 PM above.

Re: 3D Artefact

Hans,

thank you for looking into that and I am glad that you were able to repro the issue.

I made these windows invisible and later visible again. Then also the issue disappeared. But after rotating the building somewhat forth and back, it came back.... not in exactly the same for though

Re: 3D Artefact

I also suggest upgrading to SH3D v4.6, it's easy enough.

I did that, but that did not resolve any artefact issue. The software artefact become rather somewhat worse (rendered with Q3, not clear where the structure between the second and thrid floor comes from):
