Well...I was able to get the plugin to work...however not with Slackware 13.1 that I mainly use.
I happened to have an old version of Fedora (14) (32 bit) on another bootable partition.
Upon booting up Fedora-14, I ran SweetHome3D along with the AdvancedEditing plugin and discovered
to my surprise that the plugin worked perfectly!
Seems to be some peculiar difference between distos. I don't know what Slackware is doing internally
to prevent the plugin from working. That is something I'll look into occasionally to satisfy my own curiosity.
