Carpet - fitting to odd shaped room
I have an odd shaped room to fit a carpet in
I have downloaded and recoloured a suitable carpet - but am unable to do anything with it to change its shape from rectangular
My room has a diagonal across one corner (fireplace) - I have tried dragging the shape but it won't do anything but staying with 90 degree corners
Also I have coloured it and it appears in the plan as Coloured - but not in 3d - what am I doing wrong ?

Re: Carpet - fitting to odd shaped room
You can only change the displayed dimensions for an object, i.e. width, depth, and height. So you can stretch but not change it's basic shape. For what you want you are better of drawing the shape you want as a room, set a texture/color, export it and import it as your carpet. After import you can still change the texture/color if you want but no longer change the basic shape you created.

Re: Carpet - fitting to odd shaped room
To draw a room in SH3D you (generally) need to do two things:
1 - draw the walls
2 - insert the room to get floor and ceiling
Read the manual and in-program Help to see how this works.

If you want to add "carpeting" to the entire room, you can give the floor of the room a texture.

If you want to add a rug (or carpet) you can use one of the suggested models, or draw your own model.
