making walls invissible
Is it possible to make a wall invissible?
I am trying to make an attic wich has four tilted roof sides. I can create four rooms with a tilted roof but this requires a lot of inner walls. What I would like is to keep the walls controlling the roof tilt but without the walls being visible....
Is this possible or is another solution more logical?

Re: making walls invissible
The 3D view modification pane lets you change the transparency of the walls.

Hi @michielper,

I don't get why do you want walls if you don't want them to be visible anyway!

Do you want to prevent walls from crossing over the roof? If that is the case, you could work with sloping walls and create the angle of the tilted roof.

Re: making walls invissible
I think you're using the word "roof" to refer to ceiling. You are using walls to fine control the ceiling slope, but these walls are just control knobs, you don't want them visible. Am I right?
The best option is to throw away walls and ceiling and move to a real roof using the Roof generator plugin:

If you still prefer to use walls, look at the second point of this post:

Hi Daniels118,

Yes you are right, I should have used the word "ceiling", not "roof" although I do indeed need a roof as well. I do have a Roof plugin but as far as I have seen, it does give a nice sloping roof but it does not give me a sloping ceiling.
I will check out the two links you sent.

Re: making walls invissible
The flat ceiling generated by the Roof generator plugin is actually a room; just delete this room and you will be able to see the sloped roof faces from below.

Indeed! This is the best solution for my problem. Thanks for the tips!

Re: making walls invisible/transparent part2
The 3D view modification pane lets you change the transparency of the walls.

This makes all the walls transparent,
the other way is to change the height of the wall in Ctrl-shift-E modify wall
would it be a suggestion to be able to select a wall and make it transparent such that the user can work on the other walls furniture inside?
