making walls invissible Is it possible to make a wall invissible? I am trying to make an attic wich has four tilted roof sides. I can create four rooms with a tilted roof but this requires a lot of inner walls. What I would like is to keep the walls controlling the roof tilt but without the walls being visible.... Is this possible or is another solution more logical? |

Do you want to prevent walls from crossing over the roof? If that is the case, you could work with sloping walls and create the angle of the tilted roof. ![]() ---------------------------------------- Dubito, ergo sum Mobo: ASUS TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS CPU: Core i9-12900K RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200 Ghz GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6G OS: Win 11 Pro 3D: SH3D 6.6.1 and Blender |

Re: making walls invissible I think you're using the word "roof" to refer to ceiling. You are using walls to fine control the ceiling slope, but these walls are just control knobs, you don't want them visible. Am I right? The best option is to throw away walls and ceiling and move to a real roof using the Roof generator plugin: http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,11330 If you still prefer to use walls, look at the second point of this post: http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,11933#55677 |

Re: making walls invissible Hi Daniels118, Yes you are right, I should have used the word "ceiling", not "roof" although I do indeed need a roof as well. I do have a Roof plugin but as far as I have seen, it does give a nice sloping roof but it does not give me a sloping ceiling. I will check out the two links you sent. |

Re: making walls invissible The flat ceiling generated by the Roof generator plugin is actually a room; just delete this room and you will be able to see the sloped roof faces from below. |

Re: making walls invisible/transparent part2 The 3D view modification pane lets you change the transparency of the walls. This makes all the walls transparent, the other way is to change the height of the wall in Ctrl-shift-E modify wall would it be a suggestion to be able to select a wall and make it transparent such that the user can work on the other walls furniture inside? |
