Furniture library editor 2.22 not working? On my Ubuntu 18.10 Cosmic I have Furniture library editor 1.22 On my Ubuntu 17.10 Artful I have Furniture library editor 1.21 on both I downloaded and unpacked 2 libraries: 3DModels-BlendSwap-CC-0-1.6.3.zip and 3DModels-LucaPresidente-1.6.3.zip using library editor 1.21 I can see the content while with library editor 1.22 I click on 'open library' then I select the library but nothing happens. Should I report a bug? what documentation should I attach? thanks Note: On Ubuntu 18.10 Sweet Home 3D works fine so I think java environment is correct. |

Re: Furniture library editor 2.22 not working? NO, java is not correct! I try to reproduce Your issue: -with installed java (10 or 9) from system =>nothing happens -with jre8 from SH3D all work as expected. So, blame the Ubuntu's java, like I do with my debian's java ![]() ---------------------------------------- A computer program does what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do. Re: Furniture library editor 2.22 not working? Me too. But, Puybaret try few years ago to do this and the answer was something like "we don't care". The java applications are write with and for a specific version; some instruction being deprecated or replaced in newer version of java. Note: On Ubuntu 18.10 Sweet Home 3D works fine If so, open an SH3D sesion, verify the java version You use (Help->About). If is 9 or 10 try to import some furniture library and see if appear in catalog. In my tests they don't which mean don't work fine. If You are interested I could explain You my way to make it usable (SH3D, editors and even AOI which work bather with jre6;7 or 8) ---------------------------------------- A computer program does what you tell it to do, not what you want it to do. Re: Furniture library editor 2.22 not working? I noted: On Ubuntu 18.10 Sweet Home 3D works fine but this is FALSE: it works fine to edit a project, but import library does not work. See my bug https://sourceforge.net/p/sweethome3d/bugs/832/ so the problem seems similar in Sweet Home 3D and Furniture library editor |

Re: Furniture library editor 2.22 not working? On Linux Mint 19.3 Java 11 is installed. Downgraded it to Java 8 as suggested but library editor is still not showing the content of the library it opened. However, it asks if I want to save the file when closing the editor. |
