not sure what I'm missing, I seem to remember in the past either mass importing a whole library, or easily individually adding what I needed to the folder in question, but please see pic, its not working now as in the tutorial

ok thanks again for this long thread, haven't used SU for 4 yrs, looks like it will be back! I;m guessing there is an option to save the sketchup in collada,hope so, this might have possabilities with all that can be done in SU and then bring it over to SH3D

ok thanks again, I found one and downloaded, it opens ok and I have it instantiated on a plan. it does not appear to be modifiable, ie, change the pillers, etc. are the models locked for editing, sort of read only?
is there a way to unlock for editing?

not getting the collada download option from the sketchup site, should have tried it first, the 2 greyed out options are for paid subscribers only, is there another website that will have the collada option?

I've used sketchup in the past, found it very difficult to work with, it seems to fight everything or just get it crazy, kinda like using ...

I have not seen any already made pergola's that I want to use. the only thing I can think of is building it with a bunch of wood colored walls with pergola board dimensions like 4x4 and 2x6 and 2x8 etc. thankfully the plan is use sliders for most of the 3 walls, it will butt up to the backyard house ...

done lots of projects drawing, house plans, documenting framing for building permits, etc and used the camera plenty to get 3d rendering but not with a roof over an entire structure and then get that whole structure rendered, even if its 2 floors with dormers coming out of the roof like whole house ...
