print in scale 1:20

Hi,

I can't print the 2d-plan in scale 1:20. The Program prints only one site (in the right scale), but the other sites (other parts of the plan) ist missing.

Any idea how I can solve the prob? I need the plan exactly in 1:20

thank a lot

Re: print in scale 1:20

Sweet Home 3D is unable to print a plan that fits in more than one page.
If your plan at a given scale is bigger than one page, here's the trick to print the missing parts at the same scale: delete temporarily the part of the plan that shouldn't appear on the missing pages.
You may also copy/paste the plan in a drawing program able to print more than one page.

Re: print in scale 1:20

Hello,

first thank you all for the great work.
I started working with sh3d some days ago, finished my first home yesterday. Now I found I can't print the result in more then A4 size.
Having read all relevant help- and open discussion topics, I still don't know how to print 2D-plans in a greater scale.
Using Ubuntu 9.04 I couldn't find a way to copy/paste a home (or parts of it) in a drawing program. Could you suggest a program please?

I tried printing in PDF for I wanted to scale it later in the printer dialog. This didn't work, the printer doesn't give the choice to scale the PDF.
I'd need the prints to draw in sockets, water-pipes and ventilation by measure in the house we are going to renovate.
Worst solution would be to print several parts, cut and glue these and copy to one sheet.
Do you have any suggestions?

thank you

Re: print in scale 1:20

If you export your plan to SVG with the menu "Plan > Export to SVG...", you may have multi-page printing options in programs like InkScape...

Re: print in scale 1:20

Thanks. It worked with "Export to SVG". The rest I did with gimp, exported to jpeg and cut to poster with "PosteRazor". (Makes a multipage-PDF to print out without problems)

Re: print in scale 1:20

Is there a way to switch of the grey the plan gets when you make/name a room? In regular printout the floors are printed white, by exporting to SVG they are fixed to grey and will be printed like this....

Re: print in scale 1:20

Choose white as floor color in the Room modification dialog box and select the button "Floor color or texture" for the option "Room rendering in plan" in preferences.

Re: print in scale 1:20

If you need to print big plan you should use a program which allows printing images multipage. For example, I use this poster creation software.

Re: print in scale 1:20

Since version 3.1, it's possible to print the plan on multiple pages in Sweet Home 3D.
